Two faces, both SIL Open Font License 1.1:

Bricolage Grotesque — the display face. A grotesque with deliberate
irregularity: the shapes are not smoothed into a system,
which is the point. Variable, and crucially it carries an
OPTICAL SIZE axis (12-96), so the 88px hero is drawn with
a cut meant for 88px rather than a 16px letterform scaled
up. `font-optical-sizing` is `auto` by default, so this
needs no declaration -- the browser reads font-size and
                picks. 77KB, which is 43KB more than the face it replaced;
the opsz axis is what costs, and it is what it is for.

Instrument Sans — the body face. A workhorse grotesk that holds at
                15-18px, variable 400-700, 30KB.

What they replaced, and why: Gabarito and Geist, both free, both fine,
and both wearing the uniform. Geist is Vercel's typeface and has been
on roughly every AI product and developer tool shipped since 2023 --
at this point it reads as a default rather than a decision. Gabarito
is a rounded geometric that says friendly startup. The owner asked for
type that does not look machine-chosen, and the fix is not a better
free grotesk, it is a face with a hand in it.

The duplexing warning that lived here was about Gabarito: every weight
shared one advance width, so a width-comparison test reported a dead
axis on a live one. Bricolage is NOT duplexed -- weights change width
normally -- so that trap is gone, and so is the free lunch where a
weight change never reflowed a line.

   Both are preloaded in <head> (see build.py `head`): `font-display: swap`
without a preload is a layout shift by construction.
